Travel

I'm just spouting out some numbers here but I'm gonna say 75% of young folks will say they love to travel. I just pulled that number out of thin air by the way.

The question I want to ask is why? Why do you like to travel? 

I hate to be a pessimist these days, but I wonder how much of travel is done for the experience, and then how much is done to say you've done it. Or even more now, to show you've done it.

The part of a good piece of travel is truly getting involved in the town or city that you visit. One must interact with the people. Walk the streets. Avoid the tourist traps. Get out of the hotels and pretend like you live there. Walk. Subway. Bus. Live there. Don't just visit.

One of my favorite things to do when I travel is to just walk to the local market and pick up groceries for the week. It helps me feel part of the town. I usually do this first.
