A 15-Day Streak

We’ve got a 15-day streak going friends! I’m pretty happy about that. I know the last two pieces have been less than 500 words, but I’m okay with that too. I think it’s important for me to just write. It’s a good exercise and it’s healthy for me mentally to just express myself in a different form than normal. So this I am happy about.

Funny enough, I haven’t really gone back to read any of my previous posts. Not sure if I want to either. There’s something relieving about writing and posting and then moving on. Particularly since none of the posts are asking for feedback or commentary it’s just good to write and be done with it.

So often if feels like we can turn a 10 minute chore into a 2 hour chore. I feel like just writing the way I have been has been refreshing because I just write to write without thinking too much about the outcome. The 10 minute chore is more of a 10 minute reflection or meditation or spewing or rant or whatever. This to me is quite liberating.

If only everything could feel like this. Just focus on it for a few minutes to get the job done right and then move on to the next task. I know there’s some debate on the idea of multi-tasking and whether or not it’s actually better. I don’t know the answer to that but I can say it’s a bit nice to not have to multitask when it comes to writing. I just sit in front of my computer and write. Not much else to worry about just yet. It’s a nice feeling.

I think it would be beneficial for my own mental health to keep this up.
